Tafheem ul Quran written by Maulana Syed Abul-Ala Maududi which consists of 6 volumes with 4568 pages and is in Urdu language. Abu Ala Al Maududi started writing this Tafseer of the Quran in February 1942 according to Muharram 1361 AH and continued to write it for 5 years till the end of Surah Yusuf. After that, his writing was interrupted. Then, in October 1948, then government arrested Maulana under the Public Safety Act and put him in the New Central Jail, Multan, where he Completed the Tafseer in September 11, 1949.
